What We Collect

When you use the form on our website, we collect:

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type, which it needs to deliver the page and keep it secure. When you send the form, your IP address and browser details are stored with your message to help filter spam. Your browser also loads our typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address.

If you go on to attend a dinner or work with us, we will tell you at that point about any further information we need.

Sensitive Information

Please don't include details about your health, or about your own use of any controlled substance, in the form. We don't need them to reply to you. If you share them anyway, we will use them only to respond, keep them confidential, and delete them once they are no longer needed.

How We Use It and Why

Replying to Your Request

To read your message, reply by email and, for dinners, consider you for a seat or a held place. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, where you are asking about a paid seat or private advisory. Otherwise, our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Composing Each Table

To decide who is invited to each dinner. We make these decisions personally and do not use automated decision-making or profiling. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running small, well-composed events.

Keeping the Site Secure

To deliver the website, filter spam and prevent misuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable website.

Meeting Legal Obligations

To keep the records the law requires, such as financial records if you pay for a seat. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to. We will only introduce you to another guest or contact with your agreement.

Who We Share It With

We use a small number of service providers, who handle your information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

Netlify

Hosts this website and receives form submissions for us. Netlify, Inc. is based in the United States.

Akismet

Checks form submissions for spam as part of Netlify's service. Akismet is run by Automattic Inc. in the United States.

Google Fonts

Serves the typefaces used on this site and receives your IP address when a page loads.

Google Workspace

Runs our email, including the copy of each form submission we receive so we can reply to you. Google Workspace is provided by Google.

We don't sell your information. We share it with anyone else only when you ask us to, or when the law requires it.

International Transfers

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. When that happens, we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum.

How Long We Keep It

If your request doesn't lead to a seat or an engagement, we keep it for up to 12 months after we last hear from you, so we can consider you for a future table, and then delete it.

If you attend a dinner or become a client, we keep your details for as long as we are in touch, and financial records for up to six years, as UK tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you can ask us for:

You can also object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To use any of these rights, email privacy@anthrascend.com. We will reply within one month, and there is usually no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first by emailing privacy@anthrascend.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, through the ICO Complaints Page or by calling 0303 123 1113.

This website doesn't set cookies or use analytics or tracking tools. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
